Our May Expert Spotlight is on Kara Birdsong. May is the perfect month to feature Kara because it is her birthday month! Kara attended G.W Long High School and continued her education at Troy University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology. Kara joined our team in 2016 and has served in many different capacities but has truly found her niche as our Applicant Communications Coordinator. You can find her working job fairs, speaking with high school seniors throughout the Wiregrass, or helping applicants who come into Personnel Resources. “I love being the one to get out into our community and educate candidates on Personnel Resources. Being able to help others while promoting the company that I love is so rewarding,” Kara says.

Kara and her husband, Brett, have been happily married for 6 years. They have a 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy Claire, and a 1-year-old son, Brooks. They are active members of Bethel United Methodist Church. Kara enjoys being a coach’s wife and spends most of her spare time at the ballfield. She also enjoys trips to the beach and lake with her family and is very active in pageantry.

Remember that when you are filling out an application, proper spelling and grammar are both very important! Many hiring authorities will screen someone out when they notice errors on their application. It is too difficult to land interviews so try not to make this fatal error.
